Oklahoma City Thunder player James Harden was named sixth man of the year. His third year pro, drafted No. 3 overall from Arizona State University in the 2009 draft thanked Twitter on Thursday afternoon saying, "Thanks to everyone!!! I appreciate all the Love. 6th Man of the Year."
I'm a big fan of James Harden, so I'm really glad he received this award. He definitely deserved it, no other off the bench player manages to put up the stats that he does. I believe he will one day be a big franchise player for the NBA, hopefully he becomes a starter too :)

Thunder-Lakers
The Lakers somehow managed to get passed the Nuggets and enter the semi-finals where they play the Oklahoma City Thunder. Game 1 of the series was yesterday, and the young OKC team managed to blow out the Lakers. The Thunder left at the half with a fifteen point lead on the Lakers. The Lakers took the game 119-90.
The Last time these two teams met was the World Peace-Harden elbow incident. The Thunder didn't even have to strike back in any way, how they played last night was a slap back in the face for World Peace.
Westbrook had 27 points and Durrant had 25 for OKC. Bryant and Bynum each scored 20 points for the Lakers with Bynum having a total of 14 rebounds. The Thunder had only four turnovers in this game.
This is the playoffs.. If the Lakers plan to bring home another championship they better get there act together start showing up to games ready to play.

Lakers-Nuggets
The Lakers started off the series 3-1 with great game play from Kobe "The Black Mamba" Bryant. The Nuggets came back to win two games in a row now tying the series to 3-3, forcing game seven in L.A. this coming Sunday. Kobe Bryant played with an upset stomach scoring 31 points in 3 1/2 quarters. The Lakers are going to need to step up their game if they want to defeat the Nuggets and face the Thunder in the semi-finals.

World Peace Elbow
Sunday the 22nd , the Oklahoma City Thunder traveled to Los Angeles to play the Lakers. It was a very close game but the Lakers managed to pull out a victory in double over time.
Late in the second quarter Metta World Peace (Ron Artest) ran down the quart on a fast break and dunked the ball in the hoop. He then started celebrating, as he was celebrating James Harden (OKC shooting guard) stepped closer to him ready to catch the ball being thrown in by Ibaka. As he was doing so World Peace elbowed Harden in the face causing him to fall on the ground.
During half time James Harden was checked for signs of concussions, and passed the first test with no signs. They went ahead and did a second test and he started showing little signs of having a concussion. He didn't play with the Thunder the rest of the week but is said to be OK. He should be returning to the court with the Thunder for the playoffs this weekend.
When asked about the incident World Peace said,"It was bad timing for me and then, physically, it was bad timing for
Mr. Harden, who can write up
a left-hand dunk and then all of the sudden somebody is right behind
you? It's hard to draw that up and to plan something like that. It was
just the worst timing for me."
World Peace also tweeted, :"Can magic johnson, jon barry and steven A compare my accidental elbow
to the Luis scola face step and the Blake griff take down..?" "Shaq ,How can u comment on elbows.. What about the
punch you threw at brad miller. And the elbows at dikembe and the
prizbilla concussion?" World Peace wrote in another tweet.
I didn't think this was at all an "accident". It looked intentional and World Peace knew Harden was right by him. I guess it just comes down to what you think of the incident, take a look for yourself.

Rajon Rondo
Rajon Rondo was kicked out of the game opener of the series for bumping the official while arguing about a call. Rondo, scored 20 points and dished out 11 assists but he appeared to stick out his chest to strike the official.Celtics coach Don Rivers saw things differently, and he doesn't believe Rondo should be suspended. ''I'm always worried, but I would be surprised if that happens,'' Rivers said. ''I thought Rondo was walking toward Marc, and Marc turned back toward him, and that's when Rondo bumped him. ... That's all it was, in my opinion. But we'll see."
